The YMCA of Columbia-Willamette is looking for an active, enthusiastic, and self-motivated Program Leader to shape the young minds of tomorrow's generation in our After School care program at the Sherwood Child Development Center. Child care experience is a MUST! Experience with school-age children is preferred. Whether facilitating a vigorous game of ultimate Frisbee or helping them create the next Picasso; a day in one of our programs is an opportunity to become a positive role model and leader. This is a Part-time position. The Program Leader is in charge of planning and implementing curriculum, supervising assistant staff, and providing a safe, structured, and fun environment where participants thrive.

Entry Requirements:

• Two year degree in Education or related field, or 30 hours of classes in Child Development or two years experience working with school aged children preferred. Or experience as qualified by the State of Oregon Child Care Division for Site Director Position.

• One year of supervisory experience preferred.

• Knowledge of state licensing requirements.

• Current driver’s license.

• 21 years of age.

• Meet all child care site director standards as dictated by the state Child Care Division.

• Must pass driver’s license review by insurance carrier.
