Industrial Painter

A client of ours located in the Hillsboro area has immediate need for an Industrial Painter. Qualified candidates will have at least two years of experience performing industrial painting in a professional setting.

Job Duties

• Responsible for preparation of equipment for painting machinery by knowledge of painting techniques, metallurgy and quality methods.
• This employee must be able to understand and interpret blueprints.
• Applies coats of paint and/or other related materials exterior surfaces of equipment.
• Washes, scrapes, sands, torches, and/or smooth exterior surfaces prior to painting or applying other related materials.
• Cleans equipment, paint mixing area, and work area.
• Operates compressors, spray equipment, and other small power equipment.
• Operates heavy lift equipment such as fork-lift and overhead crane.
• Applies paints surface preparatory materials, and undercoating materials to a variety of surfaces, as appropriate, and according to Materials Safety Data Sheets ensuring compliance with hazardous materials guidelines.
• Identification, safe handling, and appropriate disposal of paints, stains, preparatory and undercoating materials, and other hazardous materials.
