Experis is hiring an Enterprise Architect for our healthcare solutions client in Fargo, ND. The person in this role will be responsible for the assessment of new products and methods, developing and implementing appropriate enterprise practices across multiple operating systems and hardware platforms.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Enterprise Architecture: create and maintain the enterprise architecture that maps to company strategy. Instrumental in assuring that all technology solutions, either built or bought, comply with the enterprise architecture. Maintain an expertise in the area of enterprise architecture including strategies, trends and products; ensure that the enterprise architecture aligns with corporate goals and objectives. Coach and mentor corporate employees, at all levels, in the area of enterprise architecture.
Document the enterprise architecture environment and procedures to ensure our technical infrastructure remains cost effective, efficient and of high quality.

Solutions: Participate in the analysis, design and planning phases of all company related projects.
Design secure redundant systems as well as policies and procedures for disaster recovery and data archiving to ensure effective availability, protection and integrity of corporate information assets. Have an intimate knowledge of the interdependencies among system software, application software, network software and the multiple platforms within the corporation. Ability to identify the appropriate layering of enterprise objects within the enterprise architecture and apply them to a system design.

Business Knowledge: Possess a thorough understanding of the healthcare industry including current and future trends.
Possess an in-depth knowledge of multiple subject areas within a healthcare payers business model.

Customer Alignment: Understand corporate business objectives and have the ability to evaluate and recommend solutions that meet those objectives. Provide advice to the Business Units on demand when new initiatives cannot fit the current enterprise architecture.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelors Degree and minimum of 6 years related work experience or a combination of education and experience preferred.
J2EE/MSCE certification or equivalent preferred but not required.
Ability to conduct system research and data analysis using business and functional requirements to provide standard structure and definitions across the enterprise.
Exceptional analytical and design skills, with proven experience understanding business needs and translating these into technical solutions. This includes an ability to strive for the perfect solution but achieve compromise when other priorities conflict with that solution.
Thorough understanding of reusable object design, both software and hardware, with experience designing solutions with reuse in mind.
Knowledge of multiple computer platforms including their operating systems.
Knowledge of varied systems software (application servers, web servers, etc.), protocols and standards.
Ability to conduct research for enterprise issues, trends and products.
Good project management skills including demonstrated success in leading medium to large sized project teams.
Understand the importance of maintaining the physical and technical security and privacy of protected health information (PHI).
