You're empowered to do your best by assisting with Operational Projects throughout the organization! Are you a subject matter expert in project management, scope definition, risk identification, methodology and resource allocation or facilitation? Assist us with strategic initiatives crossing business teams and operating groups as a Project Manager to coordinate and complete projects, define performance and results and manage vendors and service providers. You'll investigate non-standard requests and problems, makes presentations to senior leadership, ensure project documentation is accurate and ensure projects are completed on time and within scope. Pertinent data and facts will be reviewed to identify and solve issues and mitigate risks, prioritize your work load and work on ad hoc projects as assigned.
 
This position supports projects for the Military and Veterans (UHC M&V) area which administers the TRICARE benefit program for military service members and their families. You will work closely with cross-functional teams on varied projects supporting a large call center.  These will be existing and new initiatives, so it will be important that you set priorities well to successfully manage multiple projects.
 
Primary Responsibilities:

Interact with customers both internal and external to gather project requirements and act as liaison between customer service call center and design teams.
Responsible for multiple projects simultaneously - these could be capital projects involving coordination and completion of projects across various functional areas
Heavily involved with setting up recurring status meetings with the business, fielding questions from the business, as well as anticipating issues and acting proactively to address potential issues
Create and manage timelines for all projects, utilizing organizational resources appropriately
Ensures projects are completed on time and in scope
Ensure workflow progresses efficiently and projects / staff are organized as priorities shift
Maintain job tracking and time keeping database
Maintain and update project status report and run frequent status meetings
Gathering and updating project materials, completed budgeting, forecasting, project documentation, business flows, and lessons learned documents
Generate detailed project status reporting (including critical path impact, dependencies, milestones, resources, cost, work breakdown structures, etc.)
Providing risk management and issue / problem resolution as required
Communicate consolidated project milestones and deliverables for readiness
Responsible for implementation and management of projects
Review contracts, BVDs and PRDs to ensure all call center requirements are captured on call center project plans and solutions developed
Participate in Government Readiness Reviews and follow-up activities
Participate in various post-implementation calls and activities
Travel less than 10 percent of time

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field and/or equivalent education and experience
2+ years of project management experience, including familiarity with project management artifacts and processes
2+ years’ experience in tracking, planning projects, working with large data sets and making data-driven analytical decisions
Advanced proficiency with Powerpoint required
Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Project, Excel, Visio, and SharePoint
Demonstrated ability to communicate ideas clearly and concisely
Demonstrated Ability to lead teams and meetings toward a common objective
Excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization skills and ability to balance multiple priorities
United States Citizenship required
Ability to obtain favorable adjudication following submission of Department of Defense form eQuip Form SF86
 
As a requirement of UnitedHealth Group’s contract with the Department of Defense, this position requires U.S. citizenship and proof of favorable adjudication following submission of Department of Defense eQuip Form SF86, (the National Agency Check Legal and Credit or NACLC).  Successful completion of the NACLC process is a requirement for continued employment in this role.  NACLC processing will be initiated by our TRICARE Security Officer post-offer, and can take 3-6 months for a final decision communication from the Department of Defense.  Candidates will be allowed to begin employment with UnitedHealth Group in this role based on an interim clearance, and final results will be communicated as they are received.  Failure to obtain final NACLC approval will result in termination from this role.
