Position Summary: Primary accountabilities for ALL Backroom associates are to • Provide a great Customer Experience • Contribute to the overall financial performance of the store • Perform and adhere to operational processes in the store, including: Backroom/stock room organization, Stock Locator process, Merchandise Pick Up, Receiving, Merchandise Mark Out, Item Disposition, Merchandise Return Notices, Assembly, Fill Floor and Out of Stock Pull Lists Scope: This position works throughout the store as assigned by the Operations Assistant Store Manager or Store Manager. An essential function of this position is the ability to lift and move fifty (50) pounds in weight to maintain flow of merchandise. A "team lift" or use of a material handling device is required for items over fifty (50) lbs. A condition of employment is adherence to all safety requirements, which include: • Proper use of material handling and safety equipment • Use of material handling devices such as carts or dollies to move heavy or bulky items • Wearing safety toe footwear and a safety back belt (cinched when lifting) Key Roles and Responsibilities: • Partners with selling and sales support associates to provide superior customer service. • Unloads delivery trucks, moves merchandise to appropriate staging locations, and maintains stockrooms in a neat, orderly and safe manner. • Promptly serves the customer at merchandise pickup. • Understands website navigation and proactively leverages technology in order to facilitate the customer experience. • Performs Fill Floor process multiple times per day based on business need, pulling and staging merchandise for Merchandising & Pricing associates to place on the sales floor. • Locates and pulls merchandise on Out of Stock Pull List and stages merchandise for Merchandising & Pricing associates to place on the sales floor. • Locates and pulls merchandise and fixtures to support sales floor Resets. • Completes minor repairs of store stock and customer merchandise. • Assembles merchandise for sales floor display and customer sales. • Completes point of sale equipment repair; assists facility team as required. • Inspects returned merchandise; Determines proper disposition/handling. • Adheres to merchandise and inventory protection standards. • Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
