Food server is a member of the Food & Beverage team. Requirements include: basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards and guest relations and etiquette; knowledge of appropriate table settings, service ware and menu items; basic English language communication skills; and the ability to carry large, heavy trays on a continuous basis throughout the shift; must demonstrate the a guest oriented and friendly demeanor.

This position requires a Pre-Hire Assessment as part of the application process. For best results we recommend you complete the assessment in one seating without any interruptions or distractions and therefore advise that you begin the application process when you can dedicate 20-30 minutes of uninterrupted time to apply for this opening.

Crowne Plaza Hotel Concord-Walnut Creek, a full service meeting and conference center is located in the heart of East Bay. The hotel features 324 beautiful guest rooms and over 22,000 square feet of meeting space. We are looking for individuals that are passionate about hospitality and possess the skills to welcome today’s travelers and provide them with a well-rounded stay experience.

BASIC PURPOSE: Effectively promote, take and deliver food and beverage orders.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Accurately and quickly take and place all food orders with the kitchen, according to the prescribed procedure.

Answer all questions about cooking methods, menu items, specials and prices of all items.

Prepare and deliver beverage and dessert orders.

Check food to ascertain that appearance, temperature and portions are correct and deliver food orders in a timely fashion.

Prepare the guest check accurately and present it to the guest before their departure.

Collect payment from the guest.
