Ericsson is currently recruiting for construction professionals and motivated individuals wanting to enter the construction field. We are seeking candidates for our new Underground Fiber Construction Crews in the San Jose area. These crews will operate heavy machinery and horizontal drilling equipment for installation of conduits throughout the city and its surrounding neighborhoods. Individuals will also receive 100% paid Instructor Led Training associated with all Underground Fiber Construction Positions.

This person will primarily be responsible for the mud mixing activities associated with (HDD) Horizontal Directional Drilling. They will ensure that the proper fluid is mixed and available at all times during (HDD) operations. She/he will also be responsible for all safety equipment surrounding the drill rig and ensuring that the operator is aware of any potential risks in the area.
Background Requirements:
- Before employment, successful completion of a (7) Year Criminal Background Check is required. The Criminal Background investigation includes felonies and misdemeanors as well as education and employment verification. A conviction will not necessarily disqualify from employment.
- Passing a drug test is also required and must be completed within (48) hours of offer acceptance.
- Candidates must be at least (21) years old to drive a company vehicle
- Driving records will be checked for the past (5) years and qualified candidates may not have any of the following violations:
- (2) or more moving violations or at-fault accidents within a (12) month period
- (3) or more moving violations or at-fault accidents within a (3) year period
- No more than (2) moving violations or at-fault accidents over the previous (36) month period
- DWI/DUI for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs (or related impaired driving offenses)
- Failure or refusal to submit to a sobriety test
- Reckless driving, racing, and/or attempting to elude a police officer
- Suspension or revocation of license as a result of one or more moving violations
- Vehicular felony
- Driving without a valid license
