Sodexo is seeking a Food Service General Manager 5 for University of Southern Indiana , ( USI ) is a public university located just outside of Evansville in Vanderburgh County , Indiana . Founded in 1965, USI enrolls approximately 9,500 undergraduate students .
**Relocation Assistance is Offered with this Position**
Sodexo at University of Southern Indiana has a MV of $9MIL within their residential dining , retail food service outlets, and Catering . Students enjoy a Bakery, Starbucks, Burger King, 3 Sodexo Brands, Red Mango, 2 Simply To Go Grab and Go, C- store with pizza delivery producing 1 million in sales annually. We also have Concessions and Catering Sales of 1.1 million . Unit is also responsible for managing the campus card program.
The General Manager will be responsible for the management of this large, high profile, long tenured account and will have over-site for 180 front-line (hourly) associates and eleven Sodexo managers . The ideal candidate will be i nnovative and organized with strong leadership skills and sense of urgency. W ill have experience with the following:
High-volume campus food service management Delivering very high end catered events that vary in size with 1.1MIL MV Large volume in Retail branded food service concepts (national and in-house) Successfully communicating with all levels of the organization including the executive leadership on campus Driving sales, controlling costs and demonstrating very strong financial acumen Leading a large food service staff Project management skills is the key for upcoming renovations. Directs all contract management service operations at a single account/unit. Plans and supervises special functions. Maintains cash control and payroll records. Hires and trains unit personnel. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Manages through managers and is accountable for the contract. Senior-most person assigned to a one client account.
Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree
Basic Management Experience - 3 years
Basic Functional Experience - 4 years
Sodexo will require a background check and may require a drug screen for this position.
