Prairie St. John's, a 110-bed psychiatric care facility located in Fargo, North Dakota, has been providing services for children, adolescents and adults to address mental health issues, chemical dependency or addiction and co-occurring disorders since 1997. Prairie offers a full-service psychiatric and addiction Continuum of Care. This Continuum of Care includes inpatient hospitalization, partial hospitalization, residential treatment, intensive outpatient services and clinic services. We are currently seeking a full time House Charge Nurse.
The House Charge Nurse directly oversees all staff and services provided on the overnight shift. The incumbent in the position must be a positive role model and patient, understanding mentor able to work with all types of personalities and abilities. The position is scheduled to work 7 days on and 7 days off.
The following are the job requirements for the House Charge Nurse position:
Three years of RN experience
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred, but will consider an Associate Degree prepared RN with experience in psychiatric nursing.
Strong leadership and mentoring skills
Ability to problem solve and critically think in quickly changing circumstances
Must be able to multi-task and communicate in a professional manner in both verbal and written format.
