Wekiva Springs Center is a 68-bed acute behavioral health hospital providing quality care in a gender-specific program for men and women . We provide treatment for mental health, addictions and dual diagnosis concerns in a warm and caring atmosphere near I-95 and J Turner Butler in Southside area.

The duties for this position includes the following:

Complies with established guidelines for sanitation and safety.

Obtains the tray count by unit for each breakfast, lunch and dinner meal. Assists the cook in preparing each meal tray.

Sets up the salad bar and prepares vegetables and other salad bar items in a neat and orderly fashion (a.m. diet side).

Sets up dessert bar.

Ensures the salad bar displays an attractive and tasteful appearance.

Washes dishes and maintains the dish room area in a clean and orderly fashion.

Utilizes portion control guidelines when preparing food.

Records dish machine temperatures on daily log after each meal, and records sanitizer strength in the morning daily rounds

Follows cleaning assignments of the dining room and food preparation area daily.

Maintains an adequate supply of beverages and ensures coffee pots remain full.

Interacts well with patients in the serving line providing good customer service and offers assistance when needed.

Encourages a harmonious working relationship in the department as well as with all employees of the facility.

Reports any equipment malfunction immediately to the Food Service Cook/Supervisor, Cook or Dietary Manager.

Cleans tables and chairs after lunch and mops cafeteria floor after the patients exit

Performs other duties as assigned

The requirements for the position are the following:

Must have some high school education and is able to calculate basic math formulas regarding recipes and follow and understand instructions provided by the supervisor

Must have at least 1-year commercial dietary experience preferably in a healthcare setting

Must be able to work the required schedule for the position

Must be able to lift, stoop and bend in order to clean the assigned cleaning area

Must be able to lift 75 pounds
