General Responsibilities:
Hertz Equipment Rental Corporation (HERC), one of the largest suppliers of rented industrial & construction equipment, seeks talented people for a Shop Supervisor position . This is an excellent opportunity for motivated self-starters who want to enhance their skills with a company whose reputation speaks for itself.
You will be responsible for training, appraising, and supervising shop personnel utilizing the most cost-effective means for maintenance and repair of all rental and service equipment. You will also insure all service calls are handled in a professional manner. You may also have to assist in the maintenance and repair of the equipment.
Mandatory Requirements:
In-depth knowledge of Internal Combustion Engines (both gas and diesel), DC Electrical Systems, Propane Systems, Hydraulics, Track Equipment, Aerial Equipment, and Heavy Trucks/Automotive Minimum of 3 years of shop supervisory experience or 5 years of general management experience Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and Lotus Notes is preferred Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot: Fuel Systems, Electrical Systems, Hydraulic Systems, and Propane Systems. Able to perform complete repair and overhaul functions Basic welding techniques Maintains a safe and clean work environment Maintain a clean driving record
