The Time Warner Cable Corporate is currently seeking a Director within our Video Program Office. Below please find a brief description of the essential duties and responsibilities required to function successfully in this position.PURPOSE:
The Director, Program Management reports directly to the VP of the Video Program office and is responsible for leading a team of Program Managers focused on video initiatives that span the enterprise. This role will also be deeply involved in improving consistency, predictability and efficiency of the organization project delivery capability. It is highly important that this person is a dynamic individual who is energized by fast-paced environments, has the ability to lead highly complex, yet rewarding projects, and possesses excellent communication and team-building skills.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide leadership for planning and realization of strategic initiatives targeted at achieving key business opportunities.Manage a team of experienced Program and Project Managers.Grow and develop the Program Management team by providing career management and strategic growth plansDevelopment, implementation and support of the Video Program Management Office (PMO) strategy, reports, and best practices.Oversee entire project/program/ portfolio life cycle; capable of designing plans for complex tasks for projects, programs and portfolios.Leverage expertise in Agile methods, project governance, release management, and capacity planning.Identify and implement tools and or process changes required to optimize the end-to-end process; manage performance management process for staff from establishment of department goals through performance reviews.Conducts project reviews with Senior Leadership, including project scope, schedule, risks and milestone progress.Articulates measurable business results around deliverables for our clientsDevelops and manages communications and summary reports for various audiences based on deployment project plans and status; provides accurate project status information in the form of formal briefings, program/project coordination meetings, and written/graphic reportsAbility to work with multiple teams, delegating work load and ensuring team efficiencyAbility to serve as a subject matter expert, mentor, and role model to othersDisplays consistent flexibility, resilience, and resourcefulnessStrong communication and interpersonal skills
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Requires in-depth experience with developing and utilizing formal systems development methodology and ability to learn, utilize and improve the Project Management Life Cycle.Demonstrated experience leading and directing large teams consisting of resources from across the enterprise, including Product Management, Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, Information Technology and Corporate Training.Proven track record in managing teams who work under deadlines with extremely high quality standards.Demonstrated experience managing and directing program employees, contractors and/or consultants in a matrix team setting.Demonstrated critical thinking, problem solving, and presentation skillsExcellent judgment, initiative, flexibility, detail, team, and solution oriented (both business and technology) skillsDemonstrated experience in motivating program team members to complete tasks efficientlyDemonstrated experience in strong relationship building skills with senior executives across various departments and business unitsProven Ability to build successful teams including recruiting, hiring, and performance management.Clear, demonstrated ability to lead a team through change.Strong presentation, organizational & interpersonal skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong understanding of video products preferred but not required
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Bachelor ' s degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or equivalent training, education and experience. MBA preferred.Ten years in a team leadership role; 5+ years managing Project / Program Managers
