About this job
Responsible at a middle-upper management level for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating patient care delivery functions and activities for the assigned patient care areas and support activities as assigned. Interacts on a regular, frequent basis with physicians, other department managers and staff, vice presidents and patients. Is responsible for quality of service provided and the financial resources consumed as well as patient satisfaction, and employees' growth and satisfaction. Reports to Director of ED. Patient care may be provided to patients in all age categories based on assigned area of responsibility. Works Clinically in ER at least 2 shifts per week and works one weekend per month in ER clinically or administratively. This is an exempt position. BSN minimum; MS preferred with certification in clinical area specialty; current GA license; 5 years experience in clinical area.
Demonstrated success in clinical area of expertise ED, CCU, Medicine,and Telemetry.
BLS, ACLS, PALS required
