The Women's Services Supervisor is accountable and responsible for the effective delivery of competent, compassionate, and efficient patient care in Labor and Delivery, Post-Partum and Nursery. This includes overall direction of clinical, human resources, and financial management. Responsible for the assisting with managerial aspects of Women's Wing ; maintenance of all policies and procedures; maintain effective physician and interdepartmental relations. Education:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Certifications / Licenses:
Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Alabama
Maintain Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) Certification
Maintain Advanced Cardiac Life (ACLS) Certificatoin
NRP within 90 days of hire
Experience required :
Minimum of 3 years of recent nursing experience in clinical setting and /or nursing management.
Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills to provide care appropriate to the age of patients served.
Must demonstrate knowledge of principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirement relative to the patient's needs and to provide care needed as described to in policy and procedure.
