Position Summary: Operate diagnostic imaging equipment in 2

to 3 different modalities to obtain clinical diagnostic x-ray films for the

diagnosis and treatment of patients.

Provide direct care to patients of all ages.

Provide patient/care services based on identified

needs/developmental level for all patient populations checked below;

care/services may include assessment of individual patient need;

incorporation of age-specific characteristics in patient education, communication,

and planning; provision of individualized care relevant to patient needs; and

recognition, monitoring, and provision of interventions as appropriate. x

Infancy (0-12 mos.), x Toddler (13 mos. - 4 yrs.), x

Child (5-9 yrs), x Adolescent

(10-17 yrs), x Adult(18-65yrs), x Geriatric (65 yrs)

Requirements: Graduate of an accredited program in

radiologic technology. Must hold Radiation Operator Certificate from the

Kentucky Radiation Operators Program. Registered in good standing with the

American Registry of Radiologic Technologists for Radiography and at least

one other specialty modality or Registry eligible for a specialty

modality. Specialty modality registry

with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or the American

Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers is required within one year from

date of hire. Two years experience in

diagnostic imaging department working in multiple areas preferred. MRI preferred.
