CLINIC -- CMA
Job Responsibilities:
The clinical support position performs all nursing functions appropriate for a physician medical practice including, but not limited to: assisting staff physician, patient assessment, blood drawing, and injection administration, patient education, ordering of medical supplies, assist with other office functions as needed. The CMA position is under the direct supervision of the Clinical Provider. Education:
High School graduate or equivalent.
MA graduate of an approved school.
Maintains current national credentialing.
BLS Certification REQUIRED.
Other certificates as required by area of clinical specialty
Experience:
1-2 years medical office experience with proficiency in medical terminology.
Skills:
Excellent clinical and interpersonal skills.
Phlebotomy experience.
Portable EKG testing experience.
Able to deal with multiple personalities in a pediatric to geriatric patient demographic base.
Flexible and motivated.
Familiar with procedure and diagnosis coding.
Computer proficiency.
Performs all aspects of direct patient care.
Works with other disciplines and ancillary services in the care they provide.
