Position Summary:

Responsible for overall administration and direction of the facility in accordance with Federal, State and/or

JCAHO standards, guidelines and regulations. Demonstrates effective leadership to assure communication of Centura Health's mission, vision, and core values and promotes the success of its goals.

Minimum Education Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Health Care Management or equivalent combination of Associates and 5+ years of Long Term Care leadership experience.

Minimum Experience Requirements:

1 year experience in a NHA role

License/Certifications

Current Colorado Nursing Home Administrator

Quality:

Assumes the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability of directing the activities of the facility. Is responsible for regulatory compliance relating to all facility activities.

Service:

Plans, develops, organizes, implements, evaluates and directs the facility programs. Develops and maintains written policies and procedures that govern the operation of the facility.

Cost:

Operates the facility to achieve financial objectives.

Community:

Creates and maintains an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest and positive emphasis, as well as a calm environment throughout the facility. Maintains relationships with families and residents. Maintains a good public relations program that services the best interests of the facility and community alike.

People:

Provides strong leadership and management to address resident and staff concerns quickly and to implement departmental on-going, quality management programs to assure that the residents' needs are met promptly and safety issues are corrected immediately. Directly evaluates, improves and monitors all operational processes including those of paperwork, operational process flow, referral accuracy/completeness, and scheduling of patient visits. Employs qualified personnel to provide high quality, cost efficient, coordinated care. Ensures adequate staffing, staff education and staff competencies/performance evaluations. Models leadership behaviors and provides leadership development for direct reports through modeling, coaching, mentoring, evaluation, constructive feedback,

with written plan for ongoing and future development needs, to include timelines. Uses current leadership principles and techniques effectively. Seeks improvement and continuously raises the bar for Associate Satisfaction scores by monitoring staff turnover rates, leading recruitment and retention efforts for clinical staff.
