SEASONAL RN
The Medical Telemetry Stroke RN is responsible for coordinating and overseeing care delivered with an interdisciplinary approach, utilizing the nursing process which includes assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Directs and provides patient teaching activities. Maintains standards of professional nursing practice. Documentation of records is accurate, complete and complies with the policy and procedures. Participates in efforts to improve patient care through education, Quality and Safety initiatives and support of Venice Regional Medical Center nursing Strategic Plan (Healthy Work Environment, clinical excellence, optimal patient outcomes). Provides leadership, direction and guidance to ancillary staff in the care of patients. Performs other duties as assigned.
SEASONAL POSITION - COMPLETION BONUS!
Education/Training:
- R.N. graduate of a School of Nursing.
- Currently licensed to practice nursing in the State of Florida.
- BLS / ACLS
- Other certificates as required by area of clinical specialty.
Experience/Skills:
- Previous experience preferred as a staff nurse in acute care clinical setting.
- Able to work under stressful conditions.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Must be able to communicate to patients, hospital staff and visitors in a concerned and caring way, demonstrating the Standards of Excellence.
- Able to maintain confidentiality of information.
- Willingness to accept responsibility.
- Ability to direct ancillary staff and organize work assignments.
- Leadership skills essential to the position.
