About this job
Examines heartbeat patterns on electrocardiograph monitors. Makes note of irregular rhythms and monitors changes in heartbeat. Ensures that monitors are functioning properly. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Certifications/License :
Must possess current Basic Life Support (BLS)
EMT Certification preferrred.
Experience:
Must be able to analyze and recognize cardiac heart rhythms.
Knowledge of basic nursing principles, procedures and practices to assess and provide care of patient.
Must possess communication, writing and computer skills.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Certifications/License :
Must possess current Basic Life Support (BLS)
