General Summary :

Produces high quality computed tomography exams, while assuring proper and professional patient care. Position requires application of precise positioning techniques, combined with accurate settings of technical factors, as well as monitoring of equipment, to insure proper functioning. Constant mental attention required, while performing studies, and proper sterile technique. Accountable for operation of imaging equipment, to make images of designated areas of body, under supervision of radiologist. Maintains confidentiality of patient and organization related information. Adheres to standard precautions. Completes annual mandatory training, in-services, competency documentation, and any other departmental documents. Identifies care needs of patients and significant others, and implements interventions and utilizes equipment necessary to meet specific needs of patient population served, including neonate, infant, pediatric, young adult, middle adult, and late adult. Effectively participates in team and committee activities of Medical Imaging. Participates in quality assessment and improvement programs. Attends departmental staff meetings. Assists in orientation of new staff. Completes other duties, as assigned, such as on-call, transporting patients, cleaning rooms, stocking supplies, and peer reviews. Supports Mission of Trinity Health and Holy Cross Health.

Minimum Licensure & Certification Required (if applicable) :

1. Certification from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), or Registry eligible.

2. Licensed by State of Maryland.

3. Current BLS Healthcare Provider certification from American Heart Association.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required :

1. Graduate of Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) approved radiologic technology program.

2. One (1) year of experience in CT Scan preferred.

3. Reads, writes, speaks, and comprehends English.

Experienced bilingual candidates who, in addition to English, are fluent in speaking, writing and interpreting Spanish, French, Portuguese, or Mandarin Chinese, are strongly encouraged to apply.
