About this job
This role will handle all financial analysis relating to raw materials freight and will also provide financial expertise and support for several Operational areas such as the Bradenton Distribution Center, Palletizing, and Railcar Maintenance. The Financial Analyst will prepare the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and balance of year forecasts, provide reporting and analysis of actual financial performance, and perform other analysis to enable effective decision making within the Chilled Supply Chain organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Development of the AOP and periodic balance of year forecasts
Provide insightful analysis and reporting of period and year-to-date business results vs. AOP and latest forecast to Finance and Operations management
Partner with Operations and provide them with financial insights and support to enable them to meet their financial objectives
Support SOX controls relating to inventory management
Perform journal entries and other period close activities to ensure accuracy of reported financial results
Provide ad-hoc financial analysis as requested to support innovation, cost savings, and other initiatives
Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree in finance or accounting
3+ years financial analysis or accounting experience, including budgeting and forecasting
Strong analytical skills, and the ability to translate analytical findings into actionable solutions
Able to work independently while keeping manager apprised of progress and issues
Strong interpersonal skills. Able to effectively communicate with Finance and Operations management and flex communication style based on the audience
Excellent organization skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
A focus on identifying and capitalizing on opportunities to improve current processes
Advanced Excel skills
Knowledge of SAP a plus
Previous CPG industry experience preferred
