Position Summary:
To carry out all functions necessary in providing exceptional customer service, suggesting products to customers and merchandising in the cosmetic department. To carry out all cosmetic-related duties delegated by the Store Manager. Required Qualifications:
Must be at least 16 years of age
Must have the ability to perform the following tasks:
Customer Service/Sales Building
Greet all customers who enter the department using Eyes, Hi's and Help at all times
Develop relationships with customers to promote repeat customers and build sales
Assist customers with questions, problems and complaints
Maintain knowledge of specific vendor products and services to assist customers in selecting the product that best meets their needs
Suggest additional products and services to customers
Maintain customer confidentiality
Operations
Train new cosmetic crew members
Complete all necessary training and certifications for the Beauty Advisor position
Obtain all communication relative to the department from Store Manager (minimum weekly)
Utilize all communication and organizational tools available
Complete "Beauty Care Department Walkthrough" on a weekly basis
Update the Beauty Care Binder as directed
Organize and maintain Beauty cycle sign box
Organize and order Beauty supplies
Lift 35-40 pounds
Educate self on Beauty Care products
Give feedback regarding the category to Manager and Beauty Advisor Coordinator
Follow all Loss Prevention measures
Lead and participate in cosmetic planogram teams
Merchandise/Presentation
Perform ordering procedures in the cosmetic category based on Area/Region guidelines
Assist Store Manager in ordering promotional merchandise
Put up the delivery in the cosmetic department
Work all overstock and basic/regularly carried pre-packs to homes prior to ordering
Order product for seasonal times of the year based on Region/District trends
Face and dust the SSU regularly
Price/date code new pre-packs
Work overstock and regularly carried items into the homes
Remove old non-regularly carried product for return or markdown
Review pre-packs weekly for proper signing
Utilize signing and Point-of-Purchase materials
Re-merchandise power wings/j-hooks
Fill in permanent power wings/j-hooks
Department Maintenance
Face and dust the department daily (i.e. ensure merchandise is in proper location, clean base shelves, etc)
Process product withdrawals as needed
Complete planograms and updates, ensuring correct planogram size/version
Ensure price accuracy in the cosmetic department
Take action based on "Weekly Management Bulletin" and company directives
Maintain color chips, cabinetry and fixturing
Maintain fragrance testers and special testers signing (NY stores)
Maintain front runners, POS labels and inventory control clips
Pull and process damages as needed
Communicates fixture needs to Beauty Advisor Coordinator Preferred Qualifications:
