Position Purpose:

As champion of Food Quality and Safety the Kitchen Operations Manager’s mission is to create a loyal and growing customer base by providing the best customer experience. By utilizing quality requirements and systems they will provide the best Chick-fil-A products in our area through speed of service, temperature of food and portion size. They provide a positive influence on all those that come into contact with our organization. Inspire the team to promote a quality, fast, clean and caring environment.

Roles and Responsibilities

Product Knowledge:

Knows fully and executes properly all policies in the Chick-fil-A Restaurant Employee Policy Manual
Understands kitchen cleaning standards
Knows fully and can perform correctly all procedures for kitchen
Develops and makes improvements to kitchen processes and procedures
Knows and implements CFA standards for quality of food, customer service, service speed, attentiveness to details, among others in the kitchen environment.

Operations

Product Quality and holding

Waste Tracking
Equipment maintenance
Achieve business and organization goals, visions and objectives

Management

Developing Relationships and caring for their team members
Overseeing kitchen operations
Leadership – Developing Others

Hiring of Kitchen Staff – Involved in employee selection, career development, succession planning and periodic training
Training Certified Trainers of BOH Staff
Auditing and Review: They are responsible for the performance of the BOH employees, making sure that the employees complete their duties in a timely and accurate manner.
Development of team leaders and other team members

Abilities Required (training, education, certifications, methods of task implementation):

Leadership abilities
Experience working with kitchen operations
Understanding of overall restaurant processes and procedures
Ability to apply employee management strategies to ensure efficiency
Knowledge of all food preparation procedures
Knowledge of all cleaning procedures

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift at least 15 lbs.
Ability to stand and move around at a steady pace a minimum of four hours at a time

Additional Info

You must be hard-working, team-oriented, friendly, honest and have great customer skills.

Required experience:

  • Kitchen Leadership Experience: 2 years
  • Food Handling Certification ( ServSafe)

Previous Chick-fil-A experience a plus
