Providence is calling a Senior Project Manager, Community Boards to Providence Health & Services in Renton, WA.

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to be responsible for the effective management of multiple projects assigned by the Director/Governance Relations. This position applies solid project management and leadership skills and experience in delivering projects on-time, within budget and with high customer satisfaction. It is accountable for identification of adequate staffing, leading cross-functional project teams, identifying and obtaining resources needed, and completion within constraints of scope, time, budget and quality. It also provides facilitation, communication, project structure/plans, and technical leadership for projects.

In this position you will:

Demonstrate effective interactions and positive interpersonal skills in dealing with fellow caregivers, supervisors, stakeholders, other department representatives and vendors in order to maximize productivity and positive employee relations.

Work independently and manage time effectively. Make informed decisions about where to invest efforts based on established priorities as demonstrated by: completing assignments on time; communicating with customers and supervisors regarding prioritization and target completion dates based on business need or impact.

Responsible for positive relationship management with project Executive Sponsors as well as development of a project charter, as requested, to include mutually agreed upon scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives. Accountable for identifying and managing expectations.

Staffing and managing a project to ensure that the project deliverables are complete. Clearly assigns responsibility for tasks and decisions, setting clear objectives, measuring and monitoring progress and results, and coaching project team members in project related skills and methodologies, as necessary. Notifies Director regarding team development, evaluation, course corrections and rewards, as appropriate.

Provides project coordination and tracking. Coordinates IS, PH&S support departments, customer, and vendor activity. Maintains project assignments, priorities, responsibilities and tracks project progress monitoring timelines and risks, mitigation plans and managing customer expectations. Monitors expenditures and reconciles discrepancies to budget and schedule. Develops basic process maps. Maintains project files, both electronic and paper.

Proactively identifies, schedules and communicates project deliverables, milestones, tasks, resources and contingency plans. Communicate major issues promptly to management, team, and affected customer(s). Facilitates project initiation, project reviews, status and closure meetings, setting agendas, negotiating priorities, and ensuring resolution of project issues. Communicate major issues promptly to management, staff, and affected customer(s). Produce weekly/monthly status reports and maintains project dashboards.

Required qualifications for this position include:

Bachelor's degree in business, information systems, or equivalent experience in project management related activities; or 5 years' experience in increasingly responsible, complex project management roles in a comparable or larger institution.

5 years' experience on project teams as a project participant.

Experience in managing virtual teams.

Experience in establishing and maintaining productive relationships with internal and external customers, client management and consulting skills.

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

5 years' experience in a health care organization.

PMP certification.
