This Logistics Supervisor is responsible for leading a team of non exempt colleagues in our distribution centers. This includes the planning, organizing, directing, controlling and supervising the daily activities of an assigned shift and functional area(s) to achieve performance goals and metrics. This may include order selection, replenishment, loading and shipping of store orders. This role is also responsible for maintaining a high level of productivity and quality within the department. Supervisors are accountable for the hiring, training, coaching, development and overall engagement of non-exempt staff.

This Logistics Supervisor is responsible for, but not limited to:

*Hiring, onboarding and training new colleagues

*Scheduling and assigning work to colleagues.

*Ensuring colleagues have the necessary equipment, materials, and documents to ensure successful completion of tasks.

*Determining proper staffing levels within functional area based on the volume and type of work to be completed daily.

*Monitoring and adjusting resources to achieve the daily production and delivery goals.

*Balancing workloads by taking readings throughout the day, and by readjusting the staffing levels, as necessary, to achieve the appropriate level of volume by the projected time of completion.

*Monitoring the work performance of each colleague to ensure that quality and quantity expectations are met or exceeded.

*Conducting employee meetings and verifying daily worksheets are completed accurately and submitted on a timely basis.

*Providing ongoing training/retraining of colleagues to ensure that they are prepared to meet or exceed the productivity standards for their function.

*Possessing the ability to utilize a variety or reports, summaries, and procedures to project workload and resolve problems that arise during the workday.

*Educating colleagues on policies/procedures and administering in a fair and consistent manner.

*Coaching and counseling colleagues to maintain standard performance, attendance and adherence to company policy.

*Professionally addressing issues with employees utilizing the proper resources.

*Working additional days and hours as necessary during peak times.

*Performing other related duties as assigned by Manager.

Required Qualifications *2-4 years prior supervisory experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment.

--Education may be considered in lieu of/in addition to related work experience

*Ability to communicate effectively at all levels

*Ability to analyze information effectively and consistently and make sound business decisions.

*Proven ability to build high performance teams

*Proven ability to engage and inspire colleagues

*Ability to complete assignments within established timelines

*Ability to complete work under general supervision

*Knowledge of MS Office such as Word and Excel

*Knowledge of WMS

Preferred Qualifications

* Prior experience working in a distribution facility that distributed pharmaceuticals is strongly desired

* Familiarity with labor management standards

* Continuous improvement / Six Sigma knowledge
