ESPN's International Legal Department in New York is seeking an experienced Assistant to support the Head of International Legal. We're looking for a bright, highly-organized, energetic and reliable person who can handle confidential information with total discretion and who can anticipate changing events.

The Administrative Legal Assistant will be responsible for assisting the legal department with a mixture of simple and semi-complex administrative duties, programs and projects. Duties typically include both simple and semi-complex contract and correspondence preparation, distribution, tracking and completion as well as travel arrangements and expense reporting in SAP.

2 or more years of applicable administrative experience. Knowledge of selected word and data processing functions (e.g., MS Word, Adobe, Excel). High School Diploma or equivalent 2 year or 4 College Degree. Teamed with specific attorneys from which virtually all assignments flow. Provide support to the head of International Legal and as needed to other attorneys in the International Legal Department (who may be located overseas in our London, Sao Paulo or Buenos Aires offices). This will involve both administrative support (e.g. filing, diary management) as well as basic legal support (e.g. research, simple contact review, redlining and preparation with oversight) Executes a wide variety of simple and semi-complex administrative tasks, e.g., travel and expense reporting; meeting arrangements; food and voucher arrangements; scheduling and schedule monitoring. May interface with SAP in departmental financial matters. Prepares confidential memos, correspondence and letters, as well as form and other simple contracts and similar legal documents. Types all documents required by attorneys. Handles incoming telephone calls from other executives, senior managers, important clients and sponsors; arranges conference calls. Conducts administrative support activities for department attorneys. Performs clerical functions for attorneys.
