About this job

Do you see yourself as a person who is always prepared to deliver an extraordinary service, the ibis Portsmouth Centre are looking to recruit a Night Reception / Audit Team member to join the team.

Duties include:

- To provide a friendly welcome and high-quality service over the phone and on the guests arrival to the hotel.

- Is responsible for the hotel once the daytime managers are off duty

- To find suitable solutions to meet customers needs depending on the possibilities available at the hotel.

- To carry out all necessary operations when guests arrive and depart (check-in / checkout.)

- Respond to a wide range of guest requests and promote hotel facilities.

- Manage invoicing payments and cash operations during the day shift.

- Check the "room report" and keep housekeeping informed of any modifications.

- To take reservations and business enquiries out of office hours.

- Handles any guest complaints and/or remarks

Hygiene / Personal safety / Environment

- Ensures that the workplace remains clean and tidy

- Applies the hotel's security regulations (in case of fire etc)

- Ensures the safety of property and people (night patrols etc)

- Respects the hotel's commitments to the ''Environment Charter'' (saving energy, recycling, sorting waste etc)

Working Patterns:

- 4 nights on / 4 nights off plus overtime

- Includes weekend and public holidays

- Shift work 11pm to 7am (Night Work) Pro Rata

Salary:

- Starting salary of 7.12 per hour

- This can increase up to 7.48 per hour after successful completion of training and reaching Qualified Level.
