Upon joining the organization, you will go through a customized 3 month leadership training program in preparation for a manufacturing leadership position. During your onboarding you will gain exposure to the key players and functions across the plant, including the Warehouse, Traffic, and Maintenance departments. The training in this position involves working across all 3 shifts to learn the foundation of the business and develop an understanding of our manufacturing processes and supply chain. The job is in a physical work environment with varying length work days/schedule. In the CPG industry, weekends and holidays are often our most demanding days. Candidates must be willing and prepared to work weekends and holidays as needed.
Upon completion of the training program, you will share responsibility for all aspects of managing 15-30 hourly associates with varying levels of experience and education. You will be responsible for administrative and technical support, as well as facilitating information. You will organize and facilitate team meetings (pre-shifts, roundtables) to achieve continuous improvement process. You must develop individuals and the team to solve operational issues, motivate the team to achieve performance targets and coach team members to use the process and facilitate problem solving on the floor. A manufacturing Supply Chain Leader must manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously, with a focus of "winning your shift" every day by managing quality performance, cost, service and safety. It is imperative that you have strong leadership and communication skills and thrive in a fast-paced, constantly changing work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop team to solve day-to-day operational issues & reach performance goals
Communicate cross-functionally to assist team to solve operational issues
Motivate team members to achieve plan goals
Organize and facilitate work team meetings (examples: pre-shift, roundtables, etc.)
Solve daily operational issues
Administer policies and practices
Initiate and implement projects
Conduct presentations and formal training programs
Improve team communication and engagement
Think quickly, creatively and challenge team to do the same
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related manufacturing discipline
Authorized to work in United States on a permanent basis
Willingness to work off shifts, weekends, & holidays
