Position Summary:Responsible and accountable for the day-to-day operation effectiveness of the Distribution Center that supports our retail stores. Must drive results that achieve planned levels of costs and progress against operational effectiveness of key performance indicators (KPI). Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.
Essential Job Functions:- Establish an environment that provides safe working conditions for all operating within and around the warehouse.
- Utilize extensive experience in order to effectively coach, counsel and discipline direct reports and operation staff
- Operate cost effective operation in terms of cost per transaction and total operating cost
- Insure proper work methods and expected production rates are delivered
- Responsible to insure timely and accurate operational reporting to staff and upper management
- Responsible for both short and medium range planning to properly staff, schedule and execute
- Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provides feedback to direct reports.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Demonstrate ability to build and motivate work force with at least 5 years warehouse supervisory experience.
- Experience in technology used to insure the efficient and accurate assembly, shipping and receiving process
- Basic financial training
- Managerial skills to include excellent interpersonal abilities, ability to develop others, manage and delegate work, ability to handle multiple projects
- Above average organizational and prioritizing abilities
- Ability to travel independently
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or related field
- Experience in the retail environment
- Experience in the unionized environment
