Responsibilities:

Job Summary: The Catering Event Leader is responsible for managing and supervising catered events. Event Leaders are also responsible for packing up the necessary equipment needed for a function, ensuring set-up and service are done properly as well as supervising and assisting in the clean-up.

Essential Tasks & Responsibilities:

*Develops and is accountable for a safety culture that creates a work environment where no one gets hurt. Supervises and directs catering supervisors and waitstaff to ensure function is set up correctly, and necessary equipment is present and the proper execution of service is followed.

*Manages the actual event from start to finish overseeing the waitstaff to make certain customers are receiving the highest level of service.

*Coordinates transportation of food and beverages as well as equipment.

*Supervise in the clean up and return of all catering supplies, including alcohol, from each event.

*Assists in the development and training of all new hires through on the on the job training and special instructions sessions.

*Ensures that appropriate sanitation, organization, and safety standards are met through the use of checklists, hands-on supervision, and follow-up.

*Participates in all catering training programs; helps to develop and implement training programs for hourly, part-time, and student employees.

*Aid in implementation and adherence to all Aramark OpX Catering initiatives and guidelines.

Qualifications:

Qualifications:

*Minimum of two years operational experience in catering or related food service area

*Must have valid driver's license.

*Strong supervisory and interpersonal skills

*Excellent customer service and communication skills.

*Knowledge of food preparation and presentation

*Able to lift 50lbs maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects up to 25 lbs.

Work Environment: Designated locations as deemed necessary by catering events. Transporting food product and materials and loading/unloading the catering vehicles in all weather conditions. Requires frequent lifting/transporting hot food items, ability to work inside kitchen area, interact with heated equipment, steam and other at risk conditions. Involves repetitive motion.
