Business Unit / Department Mission

Position only available in an exempt manager BLOOMS Floral Shop

Essential Functions / Process Responsibilities include the following; other duties may be assigned as necessary

- Designs floral arrangements

- Designs and executes merchandising programs

- Tracks seasonal record when appropriate

- Provides a variety of fresh, quality products

- All Wedding and sympathy work

- Consultations with Brides and pricing of events

- Coordination of supplies and flower orders to support

- Regular communication with brides from consult to execution of event

- Outside sales and support of tradeshow events with venues in the area of the shop

- Support of all wedding fairs in the region

- Accountable for 'design sense' in floral shop merchandising throughout department.

- Accountable for training and delivery of all arrangements in the -showcase-

- Accountable for teaching and delivery of seasonal collection merchandising

- Available for corporate floral shoots and projects, and designer training for floral departments in the region

Also performs the duties of a Floral Specialist

- Provides superior customer service

- Prepares, packages, and merchandises fresh product

- Takes orders from customers by telephone or in person

- Answers customer questions regarding products and assists them with selections

- Slices, packages, labels, and rotates products

- Uses suggestive selling techniques to meet customer needs and build department sales

- Scan in items on telxon for production

- Assists in technical areas as needed

- Merchandises product effectively

- Cleans and sanitizes display cases

- Properly handles and maintains the operation of all equipment

- Makes regular announcements to inform customers of products

- Complies with Company Food Safety and Sanitation standards

- Compliance with departmental SOPS and store operating procedures

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE preferred:

- Must be certified by BLOOMS corporate Merchandising Manager

- Must be 18 years of age

- High school diploma (or equivalent)

- 1-2 years previous experience

- Good Customer Service Skills

- Reading and Writing skills

- Planning and Organizing Skills

- Communication/Interpersonal skills

- Computer systems knowledge (Telxon, ACR, Label Machine)

- Company Orientation

- Safety Training

- Good Customer Service Skills
