Mechanical Drafter

Currently hiring a Mechanical Drafter for a one-year contract position with a power supply company located in Warrendale, PA. The job description and job requirements are listed below.

Job Description:

• Take design concepts from Engineering staff and create all design/customer documents, 2D and 3D, that fully specify the design intent and support the manufacture of the part
• Prepare both machanical and electrical design documents
• Generate 3D parts and assemblies using 3D modeling CAD packages
• Make suitable CAD files for customer submittals, assembly, and manufacturing purposes while following Departmental processes
• Self-motivated, able to follow directions
• Ability to read schematics and interpret drawings when necessary
• Knowledge and use of hand tools
• Ability to navigate through a computer
• Good attitude and proven good attendance record

A qualified candidate MUST MEET the following criteria:

• A.S in Drafting and Design or associated discipline
• 3+ years design experience in SolidEdge or SolidWorks
• Experience in design/drafting for manufacturing
• Experience designing in sheet metal is a plus!
• Understanding of basic electrical schematics, electrical drafting experience a huge plus!
