REM Ohio is seeking an Employment Specialist for our expanding Ready2Work Program. This exciting program works to match individuals with a variety of disabilities who are seeking employment with jobs in which they can excel. We are looking to hire an EMPLOYMENT SPECIALIST in Darke County as we expand services to this area. Office will be in Greenville. Employment Specialist will travel throughout Darke and surrounding counties. The Employment Specialist is responsible for developing connections with employers and agencies and securing competitive community based jobs for youth and adults referred for vocational support service. They assist individuals in searching and interviewing for employment and provide follow-up support once they are placed in a job. The Employment Specialist contributes to Individual Service Plans, completes required service documentation, attends individual's related meetings, and ensures appropriate communication with the planning team. Qualifications include: (1) Experience in vocational support services (2) Excellent organizational skills (3) Excellent written & verbal communication skills.

QualificationsRequirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Three years related work experience
- Must be 18 years of age
- Valid driver’s license in good standing
- Car registration and vehicle insurance if providing transportation for individuals receiving services
- Successful clearance of local and/or state background checks
- Supervisory experience preferred
