Special Assignment Manager

The Special Assignment Management (SAM) roles will be used for training or initial placement for individuals moving into field management positions.

Essential Functions

This position is responsible for overseeing the complete operation and maintenance for a facility, and ensures the facility is operating to optimize safety and quality measures. This position is also responsible for managing the package flow between hubs and area satellites and overseeing the pickup and delivery of packages.

Required Skills, Abilities and / or Licensure

Possesses and applies comprehensive knowledge of particular field of specialization to the completion of complex assignments. Ability to manage functions, people and budgets; develop and recommend policies and procedures.

% of Travel for the Position – 50%

Minimum Education

High School Diploma required, Bachelors Degree in Business, Logistics, Transportation or related area preferred.

Minimum Experience

6 years operations management experience with progressive responsibility.
