POSITION SUMMARY:
Primary duties are to perform installation, maintenance, repair and calibration on all electrical equipment in the plant.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Must actively participate in pre-shift meeting, receive PM's and work orders and get tools ready for the shift.
- Must maintain operations by answering calls on equipment, doing PM's and work orders, work on breakdowns, make list for parts needed and conduct equipment calibrations. Requires ability to work independently toward general results. Must originate, plan, adapt, invent and contrive to accomplish tasks. Work requires close attention to detail and work pace is generally well above normal with frequent problems keeping up with the work pace. Work also requires considerable average to great physical exertion or effort.
- Must complete all paperwork/checks as necessary including entering data in Calibration Manager Program, creating work orders, creating breakdown work orders, checking tasks, entering time and completing work orders in SAP.
- Employee must maintain housekeeping in his/her area, sweeping area, cleaning tools and shop equipment as needed.
- Must communicate and properly hand off "breakdown" work to on-coming shift, enter time in SAP and put tools away.
- Required to assist calibration technicians and other duties as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:
In addition to high school graduation, needs specialized training such as apprenticeship in trade or technical courses. Additional training beyond high school graduation is required; state electrical license preferred.
Employee must support and comply with all Nestl programs and policies, including, affirmative action goals and commitments, SHE strategies, corporate citizenship initiatives, GMP's and Safety Policies to ensure employee safety and product quality. Employee must meet all requirements related to NQMS and ISO standards for Quality, Food Safety, Environmental Compliance and Occupational Health and Safety.
EXPERIENCE:
Requires more than 1 year experience on this job or related jobs in the plant or elsewhere. Requires 3 years experience in
Industrial Electricity as well as 3 years combined experience with instrumentation and programmable controllers, and 2 years of electrical/electronics training or apprenticeship (preferred).
SKILLS:
Program controllers
Calibrate electrical equipment and instruments
Read electrical schematics and blue-prints
Excellent knowledge of industrial electricity and pneumatics
Excellent knowledge of computer and computer skills
Attention to detail
Reading/writing comprehension
