POSITION PURPOSE - The Senior IT Developer Sterling is responsible for requirements gathering, design, and development of complex applications/programs. This role must also present designs and requirements to a review board for approval and feedback. The Senior IT Developer Sterling must work closely with architects to ensure proper system design. This role ensures the highest quality implementations from design through QA and, finally, to production.

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES - Define, plan and implement solutions on assigned moderately complex projects. Take business requirements and develop the total technical design on moderately complex projects and ensure proper usage as part of the design efforts in building a system to be put into production. Conduct appropriate test reviews for assigned projects and present to architecture review boards as necessary. Promote and follow the established processes, policies, standards and procedures to assure compliance with corporate and regulatory policies and standards. Provide technical direction to associate developers, developers and contractors.

NATURE AND SCOPE - Typically reports to Manager, Information Technology Responsible for helping others and providing on-the-job training or guidance

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS - Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable. Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.EDUCATION REQUIRED - The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diplomas and/or GED

YEARS OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE - 3

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS - Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

The Senior Developer must possess significant experience in Java and the IBM Sterling Multi-Channel Selling and Fulfillment suite of solutions, including:
IBM Sterling Order Management (OMS)
IBM Sterling Call center application
IBM Sterling Store Order Management system
IBM Sterling Application Platform
IBM Sterling Programming Interfaces (APIs)
IBM Sterling User Interface and Backend Framework Tools
IBM Sterling Configurator Framework
IBM Sterling XML Frameworks
IBM Sterling DB Classes Frameworks
IBM Sterling Service Definition Framework
Needs to have significant experience in Sterling Commerce development. This experience must include both implementation and enhancements.

 KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND COMPETENCIES - Ability to work independently with minimal direction. Ability to communicate issues and recommend solutions in a timely manner to Management. Strong decision making abilities. Experience developing new application systems for production.
