A successful IT Technician will have the following:

  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and/or two years related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and shift work in an IT call center environment.
  • Can quickly interpret, diagnose, and respond to problems within a highly-dynamic technical environment. Detail-oriented and strong customer service skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills. Self-driven with a desire to implement creative solutions for complex problems.
  • Proven background in the IT industry or related field.
  • Knowledge to perform basic computations and to draw and interpret bar graphs. As well as Demonstrated ability to solve practical, common sense and IT related problems. 
  • Familiarity with Mobile Device Management (MDM) systems.Apple and Android experience required.

 

IT Technician is responsible for computer hardware support, troubleshooting, maintenance, PC network connectivity, computer installs, ticket resolution and end user application support. Knows and applies the fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures related to computer hardware support in an enterprise environment.

 

Primary responsibilities fall into the following categories:  

 

  • Communicate effectively and professionally with all levels of personnel. Work as a team player with individuals from all departments.
  • Setup, Upgrade, Repair and Troubleshoot approved applications on Mobile Devices. 
  • Work tickets in queue with quality and proper documentation. Will also quickly assess and diagnose PC, MAC and Mobile (cellphone and tablets) issues in an internal “Genius Bar” environment.
  • Provide a high level of customer service by resolving end user issues with the customer and conversing the issue into simple and understandable dialogue.
  • Executive Support for MAC, PC and Mobile Device support with minimal after hours support.
  • Assist remote customers via phone or WebEx.
