ESSENTIAL SUPERVISORY FUNCTIONS
Assist the Grocery Sales Manager in the following functions as needed:
- Recruit, interview and select employees.
- Supervise, direct, set goals and delegate tasks using independent judgment.
- Create weekly scheduled shifts while controlling payroll costs.
- Arrange for ongoing training and communication with all employees working within your area.
- Cultivate growth through the development of high potential employees.
- Evaluate, coach, reward, recognize employees and celebrate successes.
- Handle conflict and counsel employees that require disciplinary actions up to and including termination.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Assist the Grocery Sales Manager in the following functions as needed:
- Achieve all operations and sales objectives/goals for assigned area (e.g. contribution, budget, gross profit, productivity, inventory management, merchandising/signage, price checks/changes, promotions/contests, etc.).
- Build relationships, educate our customers, and create sales.
- Monitor, order, receive and maintain department product and/or supplies using appropriate tools.
- Ensure proper department conditions (e.g., shelf, case, sales floor, backroom, etc.).
- Merchandise department according to company standards.
- Ensure accuracy of pricing and product deliveries.
- Operate, clean, and maintain equipment/machinery, tools, and workstations.
- Adhere to all Company policies/procedures and government regulations.
- Complete all training requirements by respective due dates.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Medium work: Lifting 50 lb. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
- Continuously standing, walking, fingering, and handling.
- Frequently bending, reaching, balancing, and feeling.
- Frequently squatting, climbing, kneeling, or crouching.
