Providence is calling a Physical Therapy Assistant to the Providence Transitional Care Center in Anchorage, AK.
The Physical Therapy Assistant will deliver physical therapy services according to the plan of care described by a Physical Therapist and/ordered by a physician licensed in the State of Alaska.
In this position you will:
Provide physical therapy to residents under the direction of a Physical Therapist as prescribed by a physician licensed in the state of Alaska.
Document progress toward goals in the medical record according to facility guidelines.
Provide resident, family and staff education in a variety of settings.
Implement care/services that recognize age/diversity specific needs/issues of customers served.
Perform other related duties as required.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Graduate from an associate degree program in Physical Therapy Assistant
Current license from the state of Alaska as a Physical Therapy Assistant
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
One (1) year of clinical experience with physical disabilities
About the Transitional Care Neighborhood
The Transitional Care Unit has a total of 52 beds with a variety of health rehabilitation issues (ages 20 and up). This is an exciting, busy unit with constant change, many admits, discharges.
