About this job
Key Accountabilities:
Review incoming requests for financial contributions/product donations from charitable organizations; prepare recommendations for Senior Manager to share with other Frito-Lay executives/Office of the President
Support planning and logistics for field recognition and other employee engagement events
Support planning and logistics for large-scale community relations programs
Build and strengthen relationships with members of the media, focusing on community relations programs
Provide media monitoring support for community relations programs; merchandising results on a regular basis
Proactively pitch Frito-Lay community relations stories to media, while having foresight of potential risks
Collaborate with Frito-Lay social/digital team colleagues to develop content/stories about community relations efforts for Frito-Lay digital channels
Manage corporate reputation scorecard inputs on a quarterly basis, ensuring timely delivery of final scorecard to VP Communications
Regularly liaise and collaborate with Frito-Lay and PepsiCo communications team members
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree, plus 2 years of previous experience in a public relations or non-profit/community relations role
Understanding of social media, including new and emerging channels and analytics
Professional demeanor with the ability to represent the company among a variety of stakeholders
Experience working with the news media, including the ability to pitch and secure coverage with local/regional outlets on a wide variety of topics
Excellent writing skills, particularly under tight deadlines
Excellent problem solving skills
Strong judgment and ability to think strategically and creatively
Strong project management and organization skills with an ability to plan, prioritize and execute
Self-starter able to deliver results
Team player who works well among a diverse team
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic cross-functional environment while managing multiple tasks simultaneously
Accurate and detail-oriented
