About this job

Providence is calling a Registered Nurse Care Manager (0.0 FTE, Days) to Providence Medford Medical Center in Medford, OR.

In this position you will:

Be an expert professional registered nurse who is responsible for developing and managing patient care outcomes for an entire patient case load.

Perform assessment, treatment or care for patients of all ages, including neonate, ediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric, based on population focus.

Have duties that also include complex discharge planning and utilization review.

Be competent to analyze patient data with an understanding of the cognitive, physical, emotional/psychosocial, spiritual, and chronological maturation process.

Be accountable for meeting clinical and financial outcomes for the patient within an appropriate length of stay, with the effective use of resources and within established quality standards.

Have the authority to direct care and collaborates with the patient/family, assigned nurse, and the health care providers to accomplish these outcomes.

Perform all duties in a manner which supports team concept, caring and respect which reflects the philosophy of the Nursing Division and the sisters of Providence Mission.

Uphold the standards of confidentiality, attendance and punctuality.

Required qualifications for this position include:

Registered Nurse in the State of Oregon

Minimum 5 years current acute care hospital experience

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing)

Specialty certification

ICU/CCU or strong cardiac experience

Strong orthopedic/neuro surgery experience
