The Production Planning & Scheduling Coordinator will be responsible for the coordination of production in collaboration with the individual production groups. This person will prepare schedules and ensure timely communication and control of detailed manufacturing schedules and material plans for three high speed manufacturing lines. He/she will analyze product demand, sales patterns/forecasts, production specifications and plant capacity data. The successful candidate must have the ability to work with customers regarding assessments and review of customer forecast along with coordination and delivery of product. This individual will review support documents for scheduling such as route sheets and share in entering all requirements into the planning system or process as required.

The Coordinator will monitor planning modules or production planning system and related information. This person works closely with the Planning Manager to monitor and will identify opportunities for improving lead time improvement. He/she will assist in establishing effective communication with various groups such as customers, sales offices, and/or plant production departments as required. This individual will also monitor work orders from start to ensure the on-time delivery of products and review capacity loads while identifying possible manufacturing constraints.

This position will also ensure the systems data integrity and accuracy of production / planning reports as required. This individual will be involved and assist in analyzing month end activity to determine the need for forecast modification and recommends revisions. Responsibilities will also include participation in new product launch meetings and will assist in developing new product forecasts and production schedules.

The Coordinator will identify and drive opportunities to improve inventory accuracy by working with the shipping and warehouse department for applicable gaps in performance. He/she will drive Lean / Six Sigma methodologies such as improvement Kaizens or small group improvement teams to engage employees and encourage participation. This individual will be compliant with safety, quality, and environmental policies and procedures. One may provide some supervision of others. Other responsibilities may be assigned and not all responsibilities listed above may be assigned

Job Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT Systems, Engineering or related fields

· 3-5 years working in a manufacturing environment, specifically in the areas of Production Planning and/or Warehousing

· Supply chain experience is a plus

· Proven skills working with IT planning systems, database management, inventory management, scheduling and MRP

· Expert knowledge of the MS Office software package

· Ability to interact effectively with customers, both internally and externally and a successful track record of World Class Customer Service

· Effective interpersonal skills in collaborative/team environment

· Commitment to on-going training and personal development
