3M is seeking a Data Integration Sr. Developer for the Health Information Systems Division located in either Wallingford, CT or Troy, NY. Be part of what's next!

Job Summary :

This key role solves 3M's technical healthcare data integration challenges and writes the actual code to build and support its customers in their transition to Population Health Management and Value Based Care. This person understands healthcare data interoperability, HL7, eMPI, ETL, web services, and SOA. This person can speak to the unique challenges of creating a longitudinal patient health record, mastering data from disparate systems, as well as opening up and extracting data from closed systems. The successful candidate will fully embrace the challenge of creating precise, meaningful, and actionable data from a complex array of diverse healthcare data source systems.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

- Healthcare data integration application design, development, debugging, and testing

- Provides technical leadership to junior developers as well as quality analysts and production support staff

- Contributes to the development of continuous integration and deployment systems

- Works closely with product owners and project managers to provide high level estimates and contribute to development roadmap definition

- Evaluates and proposes new platforms, technologies and tools

- Works as part of a cross-functional team using agile development methodologies

Basic Qualifications:

- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited university

- Minimum five (5)+ years as a software developer

- Minimum three (3)+ years of hands-on development using .Net, ASP.Net, C#

- Minimum three (3)+ years of experience with data driven development in MS SqlServer, Oracle, or MySql

- Minimum one (1)+ years of experience developing SOAP or REST web services

- Minimum one (1)+ years of experience with Service Oriented Architecture

- Minimum one (1)+ years of experience in Linux & Unix

Preferred Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field from an accredited university.

- Prior experience as a senior software developer or technical lead

- Full-stack developer who possesses the complimentary skill set needed to address the entire software development lifecycle including UML, agile/scrum, continuous integration, design patterns, n-Tier architecture.

- Experience with healthcare data interoperability standards such as HL7, FHIR, CDA, CCD, CCOW

- Experience with web-based development frameworks and technologies such as jQuery, AngularJS, AJAX, JSON, SOAP, Node.js

- Experience with .NET technologies such as ASP.NET MVC, ASP.NET Web API, Entity Framework

- Experience in build management and automated deployment systems using tools such as SVN, Jenkins, PowerShell, TFS

- Test Driven Development, Automated Testing and Quality Assurance Experience

- Experience collaborating with Big Data Business Intelligence, Data Warehouse and ETL developers

- Can create clear and comprehensive technical documentation and diagrams using Visio, MS Project, and other MS Office applications

- Possesses excellent project and time management skills

- Demonstrates a desire for continuous advancement of knowledge; maintains pace with technology trends

- Creative thinker and relentless problem solver

- Possesses excellent written, oral and listening communication skills

- Possesses a strong business acumen

- Possesses the initiative to resolve problems by communicating promptly and driving projects forward

- Strong interpersonal skills and judgment in order to interact effectively with a broad spectrum of people, both individually and in groups

- The successful candidate will exhibit professionalism, initiative, sound judgment, dependability, and a strong work ethic
