Clerical Staff - Full-time / Part-time

The Clerical Staff position will assist in the receiving, inventory and shipping of grapes and other fruits and vegetables.

Candidate will have good data processing skills and be able to use computer equipment provided.

This position requires proficiency in Inventory and Shipping procedures, must have good communication skills and be able to read and write English, and the ability to work in a cold environment from 30° f indoors to outdoor summer temperatures.

Essential Duties:

• Accurately receive inbound product and create the appropriate pallet tags and issue receipts.
• Be knowledgeable of all varieties, packs, labels and box types of grapes and other products.
• Coordinate with the receiving supervisor to determine cooling capacity required on a daily basis.
• Coordinate with machine operators to ensure proper weight and condition of inbound product.
• Coordinate with forklift drivers to load product into pre- coolers.
• Consolidate partial pallets at the end of the receiving day.
• Be knowledgeable of all aspects of the inventory system.
• Accurately and expeditiously assign locations for incoming product using scan guns and laptop computer.
• Work with forklift drivers to move product from pre-coolers, inbound trailers and consolidations to storage rooms.
• Consolidate inventory on a daily basis so as to create space for other incoming product.
• Knowledgeable of all aspects of the shipping procedures.
• Answer office telephones professionally and assist all callers.
• Ability to stage orders for shipping, for inspections and for customers.
• Coordinate with sales staff, sales support and forklift drivers to expedite sales orders accurately and promptly.
• Ability to expedite orders using bar code readers and office computers.
• Ability to expedite all export orders, ensuring all documents are accurate.
• Assist supervisor in preparing orders for shipment.
• Assist supervisor in all clerical duties required in the cold storage.
• Responsible for cleanliness of work areas and for assigned food safety requirements.
• Follow all safety, food safety and food security guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Compensation will depend on ability to perform all essential functions.
