Part-Time CAREGiver

CAREGivers WANTED – Home Instead Senior Care is looking for caring and compassionate CAREGivers to become a part of our team and join our mission of enhancing the lives of aging adults throughout our community.  Home Instead Senior Care provides a variety of non-medical services that allow seniors to remain in their home and meet the challenges of aging with dignity, care and compassion. Caring individuals looking for opportunities to serve seniors in their homes within Edina, Richfield, Bloomington, Eden Prairie and South Minneapolis communities. 

We are seeking CNA, HHA, PCA, Retired Registered Nurses and Teachers, Primary family CAREGivers - those with experience caring for others are encouraged to apply.
*Experience preferred, but not necessary. Initial paid training and FREE ongoing education available!


Current available CAREGiver shifts:

     * Weekend early am, daytime, evening & awake overnights
     * Monday-Friday early am, daytime, evening & awake overnights 
        **Shifts range from 2 hours to 12 hours**
     

CAREGiver Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Companionship and conversation
• Light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation
• Medication and appointment reminders
• Incidental Transportation
• Assistance with grooming and bathing
• Assistance with toileting and incontinence needs
• Assistance with ambulation
• Dementia and Alzheimer’s Care

*Personal or Professional experience preferred * - skills training is provided

Requirements to be a CAREGiver:

• Ability to treat and care for seniors and their property with dignity and respect
• Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and congenial manner
• Complete a criminal background check, DMV check and drug screen
• Hold valid MN driver’s license, have own vehicle with valid auto insurance
• Possess fluent English language skills (verbal and written)
• Ability to lift/push/pull/carry up to 80 lbs. infrequently
