The Meadows Psychiatric Center is a 107-bed inpatient behavioral health care facility with numerous outpatient programs, which span the entire continuum of care. The beautiful 52-acre rural campus is located minutes outside State College in Central Pennsylvania. The Meadows Psychiatric Center provides comprehensive services to children, adolescents and adults.

Universal Community Behavioral Health (UCBH) is the continuum of the outpatient care system that The Meadows Psychiatric Center founded in July 1999. At this time, the facility recognized some of the challenges in rural areas surrounding the hospital and began a mission to extend behavioral health services by developing an array of programs based on community needs throughout surrounding counties.

The candidate selected will be responsible for the following:

The nurse is responsible for the delivery of direct client care during the medication clinic. Responsible for maintaining accurate documentation of services provided, a knowledge base regarding current nursing practices including legal aspects of nursing care and meeting all aspects of medication needs of the client. Must communicate effectively with clients during med clinic days, have ability to multi-task and possess good organizational skills.

The following are the job requirements for the position:

A valid Pennsylvania Nursing License, LPN required. Approximately 20% travel time required.The nurse will fulfill nursing duties associated with the Med Clinic and communicate effectively with clients and physician. This is a per diem position.
