Job Description:

Meticulously manage and oversee the handling of all incoming or active Reservations for the hotel. Through timely and accurately confirming all Reservations the perception of absolute efficiency should be achieved and maintained.

Responsibilities:

Oversee accurate input of Reservations into system. Input Reservations within specified time periods. Maximize potential room revenue by following specified selling guidelines. Maintain a selective sell board. Ensure that all calls are acknowledge as quickly as possible. Forecasting. Group room's control. Responsible for all rooms merchandising. Property-wide departmental interaction. Knowledge of hotel services and events. Ensure an efficient and professional working environment with open communication. Ensure that guest history is used properly. Ensure staff is well trained and has ongoing training. Ensure staff is able to upsell as necessary. Ensure staff is able to describe all hotel accommodations. Meet with meeting planners as necessary. All convention resumes are audited prior to group's arrival.

Qualifications:

2+ year's previous hotel experience. 1 year experience in reservations or front office required. High School diploma required. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. Posses high level of verbal and written communication skills. Good judgment and problem solving skills. Effective time management skills and multitasking capabilities. Experience with hotel revenue management strategies.
