General Laborer

SUMMARY/PRIMARY JOB FUNCTION:

• To perform assembly tasks.
• Other tasks within skill capabilities as required/assigned.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include (but are NOT limited to) the following:

• The ability to effectively work as an assistant to a more experienced worker.
• Ability to learn and perform routine manufacturing and component assembly tasks.
• The ability to read directions, write and communicate effectively, and to take directions.
• The ability to perform basic mathematical tasks, involving the use of basic measuring devices such as rulers.
• The ability to pass an entry-level skills test.
• Must be able to fill out routine shop paperwork such as Manufacturing Work Order (MWO) and Manufacturing Instructions Document (MID), Adhesive Green Cards, and Material Requisitions.
• Must take responsibility & care of tools, supplies, parts & equipment.
• Must be able to charge time to jobs appropriately (barcode “wanding”).
• Request instructions & clarification when a task is unclear.
• Communicates status/condition of tools, equipment, and buildings that require service or repair.

SPECIAL SKILLS:

• Work to verbal instructions.
• Be able to use power hand tools.

GENERAL:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Good physical and mental health.
• Must be safety oriented and follow all safety and plant rules.
• Use personal protective equipment and other safeguards as required.
• Follow all AS9100 policies and procedures.
• Must maintain good housekeeping standards.
• Must work well in a team environment.
• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
