MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
Overview:
The Engineer/Maintenance Technician is responsible, as part of a team, for the general maintenance, upkeep and general care of all hotel facilities, guest rooms, major and minor mechanical equipment, grounds, and
Responsibilities:
- Being able to perform basic maintenance repairs.
- Being able to perform many of the repairs and basic maintenance replacement functions while in a confined space and/or in awkward positions or postures.
- Being able to perform manual material handling of process and facilities equipment 50 lbs individually or with the assistance of a co-worker, to include lifting over 50 lbs.
- Being able to trouble shoot general maintenance on electrical systems, heating and air conditioning equipment, process equipment, (i.e. pumps, valves, compressors, heat exchangers, column hydraulic systems, etc.) within all areas of the Hyatt facility.
- Being able to perform the disassembly and reassembly of basic facilities components and guest rooms (i.e. drains, toilets, radiators, lamp cord, television remotes, leaking faucets, etc)
- Being able to document repairs in computer programs/hand held devices.
- Being able to assist in the repair all types of pumps, agitators, gear boxes, centrifuges, air handlers , water pipes, dry wall, steam pipes, washer/dryers, kitchen items and electrical as well as control units and sensors in the facility.
- Being able to work with a variety of power and hand tools, and parts ranging from 1 lb. to 50 lbs individually, Heavier as a team lift.
- Being able to test HEPA filters in the HVAC system, and to perform filter changes.
- Being able to climb step ladders, steps and access repair area.
- Being able to perform swimming pool maintenance and fitness equipment repair.
- Being able to trouble shoot/repair vacuums, televisions and electric lock repair.
