Training Media Manager - Full-time

A successful Uptraining Manager with IHS Uptraining will have the following:

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university; Masters in Instructional Design, Communications, Organizational Development, MBA, or equivalent is a plus. Five to seven years of overall experience and two plus years of management experience.
• Management experience, training, teaching, and/or corporate communications experience.
• Ability to effectively interact with all levels of organizational staff. Competencies include excellent presentation/facilitation, organizational, analytical, interpersonal and written/oral communication skills.
• Flexible, innovative and the ability to manage responsibilities and priorities in a fast-paced, growth-oriented and time-critical environment.

The Manager for IHS Uptraining oversees the creation of content for weekly training and communications.  This role is responsible for the oversight of the team of Instructional Designers/Writers that create the weekly uptraining and communications materials including scripts for weekly videos, hand-out training in support of new tools and processes, and manager-led activities.

This position is within DISH’s Installation and Service group and will be located out of corporate headquarters offices in Englewood, CO.

Primary responsibilities fall into the following categories:

• This position is responsible for the oversight and creation of weekly uptraining and communications materials including scripts for weekly videos, hand-out training in support of new tools and processes, and facilitator-led exercises.
• As a part of weekly uptraining oversight, this position manages a team of writers/IDDs and ensures stakeholder engagement in the content development process, confirms approvals of content, and adheres to timelines.
• Ensures the accuracy and quality of uptraining material.
• Coordinates with the Executive Producer on delivery of media content and the Curriculum Manager to integrate uptraining with curriculum updates.
• Facilitates the weekly Director and VP level training review process while maintaining a focus on uptraining effectiveness.
